Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition (in Spanish: Pokémon Edición Amarilla: Edición Especial Pikachu), known in Japan as: Pocket Monsters Pikachu (ポケットモンスターピカチュウ Poketto Monsutā Pikachū?, lit. Pocket Monsters Pikachu), is the third edition (fourth in Japan) of the first Pokémon video games of the RPG genre for the Game Boy. It is very similar to Pokémon Red and Blue. It was released on September 12, 1998 in Japan, and known as Pocket Monsters: Pikachu, without using the yellow color as identification. It is popularly known as "Pokémon Show" for being based on something more than the television series, which came out after the first video games. In 2018 the remakes of this game came out for the Nintendo Switch called Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
