Medarot (メダロット) is the first game in the Medabots video game series that was originally released for the Nintendo Game Boy on November 28, 1997 in Kabuto and Kuwagata versions. On May 4, 1999 the game received an improved port for the Bandai WonderSwan handheld console titled Medarot Perfect Edition (メダロット パーフェクトエディション), also released in two versions. In 2004 a similar game titled Shingata Medarot (真型メダロット, roughly "Real Type Medarot") was released for the Game Boy Advance. The Game Boy version was also released as part of Medarot Classics and Medarot Classics Plus.
