Pokémon Emerald Version is an improved version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and is the fifth game of the third generation. It was released in Japan on September 16, 2004, in America on May 1, 2005, and in Europe on October 21, 2005. Many new features have been added to this game since Ruby and Sapphire.

It was the second best-selling video game of 2005 in North America and the third best-selling game for the Game Boy Advance.
