Pokémon Emerald Edition, or Pokémon Emerald, is a main series Pokémon game released for the Game Boy Advance on October 21, 2005 in Europe. It belongs to the third generation of the game and is the additional edition to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

The third generation continues with Pokémon Emerald. As in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the adventure takes place in the Hoenn region, where the player must stop the machinations of Team Aqua and Team Magma. The third generation shines with 135 new Pokémon; so there are 386 in total. As before, there are three starter Pokémon from which the player can choose one and then set out into the world of Pokémon to become the best Pokémon trainer of all time on the one hand and to catch all Pokémon on the other and complete the Pokédex.
