Pokémon Rouge Feu and Pokémon Vert Feuille are remakes of the video games Pokémon Red and Blue2. The games were developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance, and were the first titles compatible with the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter, which came with the games2. The game was released in Japan on January 29, 2004, North America on September 7, 2004, Australia on September 23, 2004, and Europe on October 1, 2004. Two years later on September 25, 2006, the games were released as the Players Choice range in the United States3.
The games feature all of the Pokémon from the original Game Boy games, allowing many of these Pokémon to be obtained for the first time in the new generation4, since Game Boy and Game Boy Color games are incompatible with Game Boy Advance games. The two games are independent but have largely the same plot. It takes place in the world of Kanto and follows the progress of the hero in his quest to become a Pokémon5 master.
