Mortal Kombat Advance is the Game Boy Advance port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

The game was released at the tail end of 2001 with the same character roster as its 16-bit counterparts. Due to the Game Boy Advance featuring only four buttons—two less than the six-button system UMK3 relied on—many special move sequences were consolidated or changed. The game's violence (namely, the amount of blood) was toned down slightly due to the Advances's younger userbase. The reduced memory of the Advance furthered limited the port: each character (except for Noob Saibot and the bosses) has only one Fatality and one Friendship. The final sequence, in which the castle of Shao Kahn explodes is completely absent from the game. Shao Kahn's Lost Treasures and Stage Fatalities were also cut. The Stages The Subway, Balcony, Bridge, Bell Tower, The Temple, Graveyard, Jade's Desert, and Waterfront were not included and while the stage Lost Bridge appears in the background of the tower select, it is not playable.
