To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Famicom console which throned Nintendo as king of video games back in the day, a Famicom GBA SP variant and ten classic Famicom games are re-released for the GBA in the early part of 2004.

Star Soldier was originally released in 1986 for the Famicom Disk System by Hudson and gave shooter fans something to engross themselves in. Play the part of a space warrior who pilots the mighty spacecraft Caesar which courses through space like a fish through water. The mission is to topple the domination of the Star Brain aliens who have put 16 sections of space under their insidious control. Powerups in the game consist of speed boosts, shields and a progressive shot that eventually grows to to shoot in 5 directions. Enemies in the game consist of bees, nautilus shells, and other miscellaneous items that have no business floating in space. Bosses in the game also appear in a concerted effort to stop the player's progress.
